Sample instructions
For reference: The first n instructions of the mp3dec.dsp file I have are:
1C 8C DF 1C 02 DF 18 00 2F 00 00 00 ... 93 E0 BA 40 00 1A 93 D0 9A 40 0F FA 93 E0 CA 40 0F F5 83 D0 81 23 89 0F 93 E0 8A 83 E0 91 23 89 0F
Possible DSPs
The host interface is the same as the registers that are exposed to the Z80. Can be an ADSP20xx or ADSP21xx. It won't be any ADSP-218x as they don't have a HIP.
- ADSP21xx

- http://download.analog.com/manuals/21xx/processorManuals/21xx_um.pdf family manual

Unprobable DSPs
Clarkspur cd24x0
- http://www.clarkspur.com
- Prolly not, only 16bit program memory
Motorola (now Freescale) DSP56000
- http://ppd.fnal.gov/experiments/e907/TPC/DAQ/DSP56000UM.pdf
- Decode of the above hex bytes: MACR MACR MACR NOP ... MAC
- Decode seems not to be useful code. This DSP prolly is not it.
Philips Coolflux
- http://www.coolfluxdsp.com/
- Does have OGG/MP3-decoders... I can't find an instruction set, tho'.
StarCore
- http://www.starcore-dsp.com
- The SC1000 stuff has a 16-bit program memory.
