when we'll make our own firmware, i think this limit will be cancelled. However, why don't we try to change the limit by binary edit of the existing firmwares? I think we may extend it at least up to 256 (changing a 0x64 to 0xFF) --Legolas558 05:14, 6 March 2006 (CST)

this would be great by MOST of s1mp3 users ... but this seens like a limitation of their firmware system .. why would they INTENTIONALLY leave the limit of just 99 files ??

...There can't be a technical reason to allow up to 99 files. If it would have been 255, it was ok, since the CPU is 8bit and array addressing should have been a problem. But only 99 files looks like a damn constant set to 100. However I don't have any working players nor the knowledge to make such a mod atm. --Legolas558 04:20, 8 March 2006 (CST)
